[ Hiyori seems unbothered by the change in Tsumugi's expression. After all, for all that he's been smiling through all this, he understands what situation they're in. Who couldn't, after the execution? ]

If you really must know, Akira helped me in salvaging what's left of the library last time. We didn't find anything else in there though, since everything's been reduced to ashes.
[ just like the records. tsumugi's gaze falls to the floor, thinking about how he still has a copy of his own book that tells the story of the bluebird who died despite its efforts. ]

Ah, well, Eichi-kun has always mentioned that I tend to treat things like that as if it were a silly affair... It's a bad habit of mine, and I know that. But fine is anything but ordinary, Hiyori-kun. You, Eichi-kun, Nagisa-kun - You were all sparkling, just like how the main characters of a story should be. It was such an honor to be able to fight by everyone's side, at the time, but...
I feel like someone as easily disposable as me could never belong up there with you all.

Of course, of course! Noblesse Oblige is the true sweet nature of this member of the upper crust, and if left to my own devices I see no need to trample underfoot those I could instead raise up!
[ Hiyori's personality may be bad, but he's not insincere about this. Anyone could just look at his collection of "strays" and see he's as good as his word. ]

I don't think so? At least, I hope they're not! Ichigo-kun is going through a lot right now so I'm trying my best in comforting him whenever I can, and Dazai-san may talk about suicide at whole lot, but he means well and he sometimes gives me important advice! And I was upset when Akechi-kun burned down the library, but I get where he's coming from! Really!
